Ein Hauch von Luxus für das traute Heim, mit den Porsche Racing Wheels

Früher waren Lenkräder für Rennspiele eine Domäne der Spielhallen. Zusätzlich zu einer realistischen Physikengine und Motorengeräuschen, waren diese Accessoires eine wichtige Scnhnittstelle zwischen Game und Realität. Spätestens seit Ridge Racer für die PSX, gehört auch auf Heimkonsolen ein entsprechendes Setup zum guten Ton. Bisher ist die Auswahl für die Xbox 360 noch recht überschaubar, das einzige offizielle Gerät stammt direkt aus dem Hause Microsoft. Ist dieses auch schon nicht gerade billig, steht bald das passende Pendant für die teuren Luxuskarossen zur Verfügung.

Die Lenkräder der Firma Fanatec sind im Porsche 911 Turbo Design gehalten und kosten zwischen €116,- für den Lenker alleine und €310,- für die Clubsport Edition mit Pedalen komplett aus Aluminium. Dank der Porsche Lizenz ist neben der Verarbeitung auch die zeitlose Formgebung über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Die drei Editionen sind kabellos, kompatibel mit Xbox 360, PC und PS3. Das Lenkrad aus der Pure Edition kann zudem mit bestehenden Pedalen von Microsoft oder Logitech (G25) kombiniert werden. Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind zwei Schaltknüppel, einer für sequenzielles schalten und einer mit 6+1 Gängen. Nachfolgend eine Auflistung der drei verfügbaren Pakete.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Racing Wheels for the Xbox 360 feature a 900° steering angle, 6+1 shifter and are the first racing wheels that are multi-platform (Xbox 360, PlayStation® 3, and PC) compatible. Gamers can also upgrade their existing Microsoft or Logitech racing wheels by purchasing the Pure Edition, which allows gamers to use the pedals they already have. Or they can choose the Clubsport Edition, which features high-end pedals that are fully made of aluminum and feature a load cell pressure sensor for the brake.
